Hungry like the wolf, Simon? Le Bon guzzles wine on holiday

Do you recognise this well-padded chap guzzling a glass of wine? The shades are perhaps the only clue to his previous persona as a pin-up for a generation of teenage girls.Believe it or not, he is Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon, who soon turns 60.Pictured enjoying an alfresco lunch in Italy, Le Bon had just been on a boat ride around Lake Como, which ended early when the vessel broke down.No doubt it triggered unpleasant memories of when he ‘looked into the eyes of death’ in 1985 after his racing yacht capsized off the Cornish coast. Over the weekend, Le Bon was a guest of honor in the competition of elegance during the weekend at Villa D'este in Cernobbio village.Now he appears to be taking it easy with his glamorous wife Yasmin, with whom he shares three daughters.    Yasmin was once the highest paid supermodel in the world, has been married to Duran Duran singer Simon for 32 years.Speaking about the secret to a successful relationship to Red magazine last month, she said: ‘Space is the saviour for any relationship. Headspace and physical space. 'The question is, how much? Too much distraction is not always a good thing.’   Asked about how she deals with anger, she said: ‘When you want to explode, take a full breath, and exhale grace and calm. 'In a long and deep relationship, there will be time to work out these feelings in a more meaningful way.‘Nothing good ever came from anger. But nothing good ever came from silence, either. In marriage – in any relationship – do not leave things unsaid. Life is too short.’
