Hope in the ending they include Argos. Odysseus's dog, that was the only one to recognize him after he returns home 20 years later disguised as a beggar, the dog in a sickly and old state wags his tail to greet him before he died.

Besides all the adventures, what I hope Nolan is able to represent in this adaptation it's the relatable drama and likability of the main character Odysseus. While Odyssey may be an epic greek tale, at it's core it's a story about a man trying to return home and reunite with his family.

I was a big fan of the Odyssey as a child and this news males me so happy. I can see Matt Damon playing Ulysses and Zendaya play Circe and i can't wait to go see this.

most of Nolan's movies are telling us about the father wanting to go tome/familly /their kids like in inception, interstelar and tennet( the mother).

Around the end of the 12th Century, an Islamic invader burned one of the oldest universities in human history, Nalanda University in Bihar, India. Odysseus is being played by Matt Damon? How disappointing. Matt Damon is Matt Damon no matter what movies he is in. I would’ve liked to seen a stellar, but lesser known actor so we could see past the A-lister persona. Just like Nolan did with Cillian Murphy in Oppenheimer. Use A-listers as a supporting cast, but get a more interesting and intense actor for the lead.

I disagree, because according to Joseph Campbell, the Philosopher and the writer of The Heroes Journey, these stories already resonate within us all. In their structure, and all. Basically that paragon already lives within us all, even before Homer wrote the Odyssey. It's also why older myths than the Odyssey, also have that same story, even the story of the Gods
