I have a KME, I have a Worksharp Pro - the Lansky is easily 95% of those two - I use a standard system with coarse, medium, fine, extra fine yellow and the blue synthetic sapphire stone - only mod is I use a Lansky coarse diamond stone as my first, replacing the coarse stone to get that burr more efficiently. I get crazy sharp edges.

I don't use the oil that comes with. It just clogs up the finer stones

what is a good way to clean a diamond stone?

Very good idea. I don't have a diamond stone so I will do this with wet and dry sand paper. What grit sand paper would you recommend?

YES! I found the same exact thing last night. Time to get a diamond stone I guess. I tried scraping it off with my knife, but when the edges scrapped off, but not the center I figured that was the case.

How many sharpenings will 1stone give you?
