To fix your config file from resetting, add to the engine.ini file. Adjust the value between 10 and 100:

Lower values boost FPS but reduce visual quality.

Higher values improve quality but decrease FPS.

Find your balance for the best performance and visuals

Your engine config is by far the best and the simplest ever, THANK YOU!! Using just screen percentage, Post process, and Secondary Screen Percentage variables only.. amazingly the UI is still intact, only the 3D rendering change by adjusting its custom resolution ( SecondaryScreenPercentage 50 ) I even have ingame graphics options effects maxed out and intact it runs 60fps smoothness with FSR.

I once tried the workaround with just lowering the windows desktop resolution because low res can improve gameplay framerates more without heavy processing. But still, glad you made this graphical config possible so I wont be stressed anymore playing this game!

I used notepad++ and file attributes as read-only but the settings only works on menu and still reset back everytime im in the game...

okay, you help me but when i open resonator menu, my character didn't show up and stuck at loading.. how do i get it back?

I noticed that i have my motion blur on even tho in my setting is off, and the game quality seems better than previous tweaked, then i just realized that they revert all the setting back to lowest minimum default and actually they also optimized their game, well not much but better than nothing, because even with default very low setting i can get avg 55fps, while previous patch i only got 35fps that make me need to tweak the file, we can confirm this by the pixelated trees drama yesterday, that they really trying to simplify the render textures.
They also bring back fsr, and add bloom and crowd density settings which boost my perfomance even better, that i can walk in the town with 50 fps no stuttering. after i checked my tweaked file, it doesn't changed at all by the game, it just didn't applied to the game, but after i changed one of the value and save it again, suddenly all tweak applied like previous patch and my game become ugly af xD.

Also can you give us explanation about this fsr, since they brought back this feature?
Fsr supposedly to be an upscaler, but if the game doesn't have the fsr preset like wuwa, this game doesn't even have the render scale setting for the fullscreen aswell, then it will be just like for sharpness enhancer which is unnecessary.
i have read some UE4 documentation that said the UE actually has it's own upscaler called Temporal Upscale, just like what you did in the video but it doesn't really effective compared to dlss/fsr, and it can be overwriten by dlss/fsr if you enabled them. so my question is, if i use r.ScreenPrecentage while my fsr turned on, is it actually the fsr doing the upscale or is it the Temporal Upscaler?

R3 5300u fsr 0n advanced graphic 12gigs.
Shadow low, blur on, fog on, vsync on, crowd high, effet high, FHD, it's playable, about 20-30 fps. Of course, you need to customize its Adrenaline settings too. It affects the perdormance A LOT. A LOT.

If anyone who's getting at least 30-26fps, u can try loessless scaling it sn frame gen software. it will 3x ur fps so simple words 90fos just make sure u get at least 30-26fps

y'know what's really weird? out of curiosity, i transferred the game to hdd and fps is more stable (but long ass stutters and loading time) it's like i can play the game smoothly if there were no memory leaks. and one more thing, idk if it's just me but setting the effects quality/density to high improved my game a lot like how it performs well than having it set to the lowest. very inconsistent lol.

while doing some story quest, I got a black screen. no UI, just my mouse cursor in game and black screen. I cant get passed this quest. restarted 3x and still the same black screen.
