You also don't need to peel them either unless they are old and woody which they are not

Asparagus is an underrated vegetable. LETS HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR ASPARAGUS

yep this is pretty much the way ive been cooking them for years, if the grill isnt an option, then a cast iron skillet with a little oil will do almost as well.

Wow! That punch was just as fast as Bruce Lee! 😂. Love it!! Had to watch again. Never had grilled asparagus. Now I gotta try!

I use avocado oli. Get it up to med high heat and season the oil with you wonderful rosemary salt. Two big pinches. I cook till almost tender then let it rest in a closed container to finish cooking. Finish with pepper and a squeeze of lemon!! I want to try this method now!

I love asparagus. Steamed a little then thrown in a skillet with a little butter and garlic salt till they are slightly brown.

Prep them the same way, but cook them in the air fryer at 390 degrees for 7-10 minutes (depending on thinkness) 🔥 I also like to breK them into smaller, bite-sized pieces before air frying them so that they're not stringy when you eat them.

Balsamic vinegar drizzled over at the end is nice.

I literally do exactly what you've been doing but I don't add the olive oil before cooking. Jamie Oliver recommended this method on an old episode of The Naked Chef. He explained how not adding the oil roasts the asparagus vs having it fry or sear. Adds a dry nuttiness that you can't get any other way. After you put them on dry, wait till you hear pops and cracks, then pull them, EVO, lemon, salt pepper. Its so good it's criminal.

As a chef myself, in a 1 star Michelin restaurant, we find blanching our asparagus, only for a minute in salted water, draining, then finishing the asparagus off on the grill worked best.

I've been making them that way for about 10 years now. If you can't grill or don't have one the broiler works perfectly fine.

I went down the rabbit hole. Looked up the plant, then seeds, then found a harvesting tool, watched someone harvesting asparagus, then decided after finding out you have to wait 3 years to harvest them, I came back to your video. 😂
