A new retro Ninja Gaiden game, Super Metroid 2, or Midnight Club 4 would be spectacular.

I don't have one single dream game, but a fantasy mmo with a dynamic world, where quests matter, where the game world actually changes over time based on players' actions, where a dead boss stays dead... Sure, it means that not everybody would get to do all of the content, but so what? That would be part of what made it epic. The stories of those 5 guilds who banded together to take out some massive monster, would be talked about in game for years.

My dream game is a VR open world MMO of cops(detectives) and robbers(criminals).

Detectives make money by catching criminals, building their rep and upgrading their equipment. More money allows you to go after bigger and bigger targets.

Criminals make money from robbing convenience stores and mugging innocent AI, to stealing cars, doing heists, assasinations, building their own drug cartel, etc.

Detectives would play more like a CSI game with a bit of action here and there. Criminals would be more like sneaky, stealth gameplay. Careful not to leave any tracks that lead to your capture.

It's hard to describe how it would all work out in a few words, but that's the basic idea. Too bad the criminal aspect would probably make it a target of the media.

In the 90s my dream game used to be an fps where you could explore a huge city, drive cars and do anything. Years before GTAs that idea seemed like a too complicated fantasy to ever exist. I remember to be able to drive a vehicle in the original Shadow Warrior was mindblowing!

Nowadays, well, let's see... I'd like to see a brand new point and click adventure game in the pixelated visual style of early Sierra games. With colorful graphics like Mixed-Up Mother Goose (one of the first games I played)...but with a larger world to explore.

An exploration-heavy fantasy RPG. There is almost no combat, you might be a halfling or something, and no quest log etc whatsoever. You have to take real life physical notes while talking to people, and oftentimes they might only say stuff once and be annoyed when you ask them again, or suddenly say stuff differently because they misremember or grow less trusting if they were wary of you in the first place, depending on their personality etc. There is a ton to explore, beautiful landscapes, little secrets which often have hints about them strewn across the world. Basically Elder Scrolls with even more focus on the worldbuilding.

This is a hard question, but one of them is a fighting video game franchise where a young man wants revenge and to stop his former allies from destroy all Chi in the world. It's named: Battlestand!

Hex-movement fantasy turn-based, a-la Atlas Reactor, but mmo. With heavy ability/spell customization and loot like diablo and PoE. Infinite difficulty scaling zones. (imagine being able to spawn multiple raid bosses, then add some more if the guild prevails, not simple damage and health increase) The combat to rely heavily on aoe attacks, and showing on the ground by color-coding dots, for each attack, when the spell is going to happen. Then make the spells dig the voxel-based ground and being able to build castles from predesigned pieces, and the fuel for building to be dumping the loot.

By turn-based mmo I mean everybody inputs movement and spells in 1or2 second bursts for the future execution, then the game quickly shows the results, repeat. (spell visuals to linger in input phase of the turn) Also everything to be central hex plus the surrounding ones - center gets hit for full damage, while the remaining ones each for 1/6, so you can get grazed by the spells.

So basically Atlas Reactor +10; the mmo.

My dream game growing up was simply one where you could explore the whole world and it be there in frightening accuracy, right down to you going looking for your house and finding it with ease. At the time I had driving in mind but now I would say better to drive, fly, swim, what the fuck ever.

Anyway, Google Earth is a thing. Flight sims like X Plane are tremendously accurate and on the driving front you have Euro Truck/American Trucks, which is all too obviously mutating into World of Trucks. So I guess my ideal game growing up is pretty damn close already, now.

Like a lot of people have already pointed out, Ryan, your game is called Star Citizen. Elite Dangerous is a close second.

My dream game would be based off a Robert Louis Stevenson novel. There would be bees. And bombs. And marriage. And a really great combat system called psycho wave

My dream game would certainly be Rambo Commando with John Matrix and John Rambo finally teaming up.

A new Dragon Quest game that has some sort of inter-dimensional event that eventually allows you to choose what characters you want to play as from the entire franchise. Wouldn't really match the tone of the series but I imagine it'd be fun as hell.

Or a new Chrono Trigger game. Either way, really.

Artemis was a great bridge simulator, that would be a good basis for the bridge portion of this

I grew up watching Voyager and later watched the other shows. As a kid I always wanted to go on my own journey with my own ship and crew. Star Trek Online certainly delivered. I played that on my own for a full year until I started to get a little bored and moved on.

So basically gta meets Star Trek meets skyrim meets sim city

i'd like to see a 3d open world 3rd person action adventure rpg where the entire world and everything in it is rendered with sprites. i'd want a ton of detail and smooth animation as well. also, the game would probably in some medieval fantasy type setting. try to imagine something like xenoblade chronicles but everything is rendered with sprites.

My dream game would be like Huniecam Studios and Metal Gear mixed. Where you play as the warlord and instead of having a bunch of camhoes working for you it's a bunch of mercenaries you can train and send on missions, while at the same time having to make sure you give them enough booze and cigs. xDD
