I think nexus is the way android meant to be used.

Nexus 5 is 4.9 inches but the software buttons are 0.2 inches... So 4.7 inches of screen.

How do you find it too big, didn't you use to have a Note 2 ? Just saying :)

Disagree about the size. 5 inch or 5 inch plus is a good compromise for people that don't necessarily want a tablet or can't afford one.

Totally agree in pros and cons, The future is not adding horse power, but making the drive smooth.

1. I don't know what you're doing with yours but I get two days use out of my battery. Best battery life ever.
2. 5 inches beat 4.5 inches every time. The size and ergonomics are perfect for me.

this is true sadly...if you don't have flagship power you can't enjoy android

I got a Moto G as my daily driver, it has great battery life and is so affordable, and since I am a student, it's great! For media I always have an iPad mini retina on me, I use it for writing up reports and essays for class all the time. I use my phone for the bare essentials, calling, texting, gaming, emails and social media, twitter, snapchat, Facebook etc. I use my iPad mini all the time, and it's great! It gets the job done, I love it! And I totally understand what you mean with the 4.5"-4.7" category, it just fits great in the hand, (my Moto G). Good video Jayce, always enjoy watching them :-)

The tweaks are available within the settings of all recent Android phones in a section called “Developer options.”
This section might be hidden on some phones, but it’s very easy to access. On many phones, you just have to open a certain page in the settings and tap a button seven times. Use Google to figure out how to enable Developer options on your phone if it’s currently hidden (for example, search “enable developer options HTC One”).
Once you have access to Developer options, simply scroll until you find the following three settings, which may be located on the main screen or within an “Advanced” subsection:
Window animation scale
Transition animation scale
Animator animation scale
Tapping each of the three aforementioned settings will reveal that it’s set to “1x” by default. If you want to speed up your phone or tablet dramatically, simply change each of those three settings to “.5x” — that’s it.

Completely agree with your ideas about the 5" screen

I agree with you on software updates. The Nexus lineup is the way to go when it comes to software updates. I think the battery life is fantastic for me and standby time is unbeatable.

4.7 inches is the sweet spot, I use Nexus 4 and can't be more happier.

I recently purchase this phone *and it's great!*
The only people complaining about the N5 don't actually use phones *_they just read and compare tech specs_*

Why buy a tablet and phone when you can get a 5 inch phone for the aspect of a phone and media consumption.
