How EWS Implemantation works ? How the seats might be distributed post Government Order to implement OBC & EWS Category ?

NEET PG/MDS 2021:

Reservations as per MOHFW

SC-15%, ST-7.5%, OBC 27%, EWS- 10%

PH category in each of these are given 3% horizontal reservation (within that & not additional)

Out of these - EWS is a How it's implemented pormorary category. It means that it's above the intake.

Suppose a college has 100 seats prior to EWS implementation.

To accommodate 10% EWS the college's capacity will be enhanced by 25%. Post EWS implementation intake will be 125.

Out of these 50% (State govt colleges) seats calculation. I be under AIQ - let's keep it to 62 for the sake of

OBC- 17

SC-9

As PH category is within the intake it'll be accommodated as 1 in each category (roughly) So PH - 1 seat in each category. So actual seat count of each category(without PH) - EWS 5,

OBC 16, SC 8 & ST 5

UR count - 25. Post PH distribution UR PH seats 1 & UR seats - 24(actual) in AIQ (50% Quota for PG/MDS).

This is how EWS quota was implemented in 2020-21 (central only)

From 2021-22 onwards EWS & OBC will be implemented for State Govt colleges as well.

Obc will acquire more than 50% of UR seats(+27% of it's own) and 10% will be acquired by some SC, ST candidate then only, means in short only 5-7% seats will be available for general categories.very nice 👏 I don't know what is the reason behind giving reservation after MBBS....?, when everyone got the same platform.
