its like government is saying ...only general category students know how to study! rest all need support

I just don't understand that how can one be happy and 'ok' when they are addressed as "backwards", just how??? I guess they might be thinking "seat milti hai to phir 'backward' achhe hai".
My OBC friends have better cars, their parents have better job (absolutely enough to get them creamy layer certificate) and they still get noncreamy layer certificate, how and why should they get benefits?? Same thing is happening with EWS too.
This whole thing/ system reminds me of ancient era of untouchability and casteism. Govt is forcing us to bring back casteism in society even if we absolutely are against it, logically and legally.

Very Simple Solution for this issue all the general category students should boycott entrance exams to medical stream. All the brilliant students from general category should opt for other streams such as engineering and other scientific areas ultimately fly out to enrich other nations and get their work appreciated. let the reserved category candidates take all the seats and let them enjoy the time.

If you are a general category student doing MBBS now...start preparing for USMLE/PLAB !

All India quota is for all the students now 14% AIQ is reserved for SC
7% of AIQ is reserved for ST
27% of AIQ is reserved for OBC
10% of AIQ is reserved for EWS
Now what exactly has happened is in the 50% AIQ 59.9% seats are reserved which essentially means that in round figure 10% seats for UR category students are reduced & therefore it’s a BIG LOSS FOR UR CATEGORY.

Increasing the number of seats by 27 % and allowing them to obg category would be fairer than taking the gen cat seats and donating them

Reservation for EWS can be understood... belonging to a particular community is nt in our hands... reservation based on caste n religion should be removed.when u enter a medical College u are nt graded on the basis of ur caste.. neither in pg nor ug u get an advantage of belonging to any caste..then what is the need of caste based reservation for entrance exams...it's a total injustice to people of unreserved category..

Silence of the UR students only adds to the Govt's confidence of continuing this injustice. If farmers can fight for their rights, why can't we?

Sir could you explain two things -
1) if this would mean that we need to score a rank that is half as good as previous year to get the dream branch? For example let's assume that derma closing rank last year was 3000 for govt category seats then this year should we score a rank half as good - i.e. 1500 to get the branch required ?

2)if a reservation Candidate takes up UR seat in first round and leaves it the next round would it convert to a reservation seat ? This happens in AP state counseling would this happen now in AIQ as well?
Please clarify these if you happen to have an idea, Thankyou !

You played safe... It's unfair... I have worked for my money for coaching.. How's an mbbs doctor economically weaker.I have never discriminated people on the basis of caste... Now I have to settle for something much lesser... An obc /ews guy will simply take my seat...#India for reserved... Don't say it's an advantage for obc /ews... It's unfair...
