There are so much intresting facts about this lake, as it is also related to Nanda Devi Rajjat Yatra (around 230 kms trek in mountains).

Dude this is a maneaters site. Some one ate those beings and threw them there! Sounds creepy but it's fact and life span of that being who ate them one by one and dumpped them there was more that 1000 years. May be nephalem or ancient Canibals. Many histories were distroyed. Still a mystery could have been something entirely different

इस जगह का नाम रूपकुण्ड है, जहाँ मैं दो महीने पहले गया था,
यह जगह मेरे घर से करीब 60 किलोमीटर दूरी पर है, और यहाँ पर जो लोग मरे हैं, उसका मुख्य कारण पुराने जमाने के राजा-महाराजा से है, जो कि यात्रा के दौरान यहां गये थे, और उनके ढोल नगाड़ों की आवाज, ओर वाइब्रेशन से इस तालाब (कुण्ड)के चारों ओर जो पहाड़िया हैं उनसे बर्फ काफी भारी मात्रा मे नीचे खिसकी और ये सब लोग मारे गए, यहाँ पर घोड़ो की हड्डिया, मरे हुए लोगों के चप्पल भी हैं, जिनका आकर आज के मनुष्यों के चप्पलों के आकार से बढ़ा है,
रूपकुंड के बारे मे भी प्रचलित कहानियां हैं, लेकिन अभी सब कुछ बताना सम्भव नही है।
