My instant pot Duo Evo Plus started doing this without it being overfilled. I did a test with the minimal amount of water to come to pressure... the same outcome. Since mine isn't an overfill problem, what is the fix? Do I need a new lid?

Don't blame Instant Pot for your idiocy. You are supposed to release the pressure valve while it is in the cooking process.

And when I use mine this has never happened BUT I still put a ring out damn wash cloth over the mist cause it catches the mist
