Lol.. love your attitude about carrying preloved into the store. Totally agree. If u brought a 2nd hand bmw or other car brand into the dealership for servicing or to shop.. nobody bats an eye.

Thanks! I asked the bringing a preloved bag to the store question. I actually visited my SA today and I told her ahead of time I was bringing her. She was delighted because it’s been hard for her to find a B35 for me over the last year or so. My previous SA left and went back to LV and my current SA was a respected friend of hers. I’d worked with her for 2 years building my profile with things I wanted. Within a month of working with my new( current SA) I was offered my dream K32 in gold. So I’m fine that it’s taken her some time. I asked her if Hermes really had a problem with the pre-loved bags and she said in general no. “It’s so hard to get bags and if you find something you like, get it”. Plus, if you are concerned say you purchased it in another country! They can only see their country. I also told her I got a Jypsiere preloved in excellent condition. She said great because the Jypsiere is incredibly popular right behind the triple crown bags. My Hermes is a large store and stock is low for bags, twillies, jewelry etc. Bottom line it’s a bag, I bought it, I love it, it’s mine to carry and be proud of!!

My question: If you have been offered your first bag, do you need to "rebuild" your quota again? And is the second bag generally 1:1 or does it get easier? (ie maybe if you've spent 2;1 for your first one, maybe you get the second one at 0.7: 1 etc.). I know everyone's journey is different but I"m wondering what have experienced mostly or head of? Big bags will come back into fashion, as far as I can see (my own personal opinion), now is the time to buy a B35 on the pre-loved market, if I didn’t have other current & more important financial goals, I’d definitely buy one, however I’m 170cms tall & can easily pull off larger bags. Having said that, owning a B35 would not be enough to remove the B30 off my wish list, and a B30 is the size I really want.

I have no clue about the type of leather (names) and all the well known classification terms but i know i may be able to get a hold on a Berkin through my gf who works at Hermes in Paris. what would be your ultimate recommendation for a highly sought after spec for the first essential bag in terms of a color, size, type of leather and hardware?

Can I ask your opinion... I have seen 2 birkin 30 bags on resale market and can’t decide what to do..!
Chocolate brown vintage (pristine condition) at 11, 500 Aus dollars
Or Bordeaux red 2019 also pristine condition for 20, 000 Australian dollars.
I think the red will work better with my wardrobe but the price of the brown is tempting.
Which do you think would be the Best Buy??? 🤯

What about a B 35 in Epsom? It would retain its shape better, and is a bit hardier than Swift?
