I literally take my umbrella with me every single day, rain or shine. Texas sun is no joke. I work at a high school and after a year of me carrying around my umbrella I had some students ask if it’s embarrassing and I was honest and said at first it was but now it’s just normal. This school year I’ve seen at least 5 students with umbrellas in the sun 👏👏👏

I read a study out of Australia where they had a group that wore sunscreen daily and a group that was told to wear it just when they felt they needed it. The everyday group had a 40% reduction in the incidence of melanoma compared to the just when they felt they needed it group. That study really changed me into an every day wearer. So many people see sunscreen as just a summer thing.

In Hawaii, we can only use zinc oxide /titanium dioxide. The other sunscreens had chemicals that were destroying our coral reefs here. So it’s not just a question related to the body but oceanic ecosystems as well.

I love my Japanese and Korean chemical sunscreens! Mineral sunscreens are good but generally tend to look very drying on my skin.

To this day I see tanning places being advertised as being „healthy“ here in Germany. I wonder when this is gonna start being illegal.

People often don't seem to believe me when my response to how I look so much younger than 50 is mostly because I'm diligent about sun protection. Yes I also have had great skincare regimens my whole adult life but that would only go so far if I wasn't using SPF. It's only recently that I'm thinking about getting fillers and by that I mean VERY minimally!

personally i cannot use chemical sunscreens as my skins seems to overheat and feel like it's burning especially in the sun, so i am always glad i have mineral options!

I’m loving this new side of you. Matter of fact. Little cheeky. Cutting through the excess of information thrown our way and summarizing your point in a memorable way.

I have rosacea and haven’t been able to use chemical sunscreen without it really aggravating my skin. So I use a mineral sunscreen. I don’t spend much time in the sun though because it just wreaks havoc with my rosacea.

My preference for face is mineral only. Speaking of tanning beds I remember a young woman dying from melanoma years ago RIP and she begged in the media for people to stop using them.

Discovering mineral sunscreen was a godsend for me tho. I used to never wear sunscreen because it would absorb into my skin and cause SO MUCH irritation I would break out in hives. Mineral feels easy on my skin, good for everyday wear, washes off much better. I'm so happy I've found an alternative that works for me! No more sunscreen phobia!

I think the debate is there because some people believe that the chemicals sunscreens are super bad for you. Versus the mineral barrier sunscreens. It’s hard to find a mineral burial sunscreen without aluminum in it. And all this seems like a good topic of discussion.

I get MAJOR allergic reactions with neck and face swelling when wearing the chemical ones. So thankful for mineral ones and UPF clothing!

Better is what better suits your skin I can only use mineral sunscreen in recent years without my skin reacting and the best sunscreen is the one your skin loves and you love using so excited I found the ONE this year

Can you talk about the study stating that titanium dioxide in mineral sunscreen creates a chemical reaction with UV that restricts its protective ability?

I used one of neutrogena’s chemical sunscreen this past summer, I’m still dealing w residual irritation on my neck and my eyelids, they are still so sensitive anything I put on my neck and eyelids hurt, except for a prescribed steroid cream, triamcinolone. I’ll never use chemical sunscreens again, the only mineral one that does not aggravate the damage done by the neutrogena one is the sun bum 30 and 50 spf’s

My dermatologist told me that mineral is better for my skin type (Fitzpatrick type 4).

I am purely exhausted over this. I just got back from seeing a new pediatrician for my 10 year old and he said the kids should be wearing mineral sunscreen only, that they're seeing chemical sun screen associated with increased levels of estrogen which is kind of the opposite of what I've heard on this channel.

It's 2022. Why aren't tanning beds illegal in the United States??
They are in some foreign countries
