I apologize too much... it's a bad habit☀️ #shorts

story time: I tend to apologize for everything, even for things I could not have controlled or that aren't my fault.

Once I was talking to a friend, started apologizing (i don't know for what, maybe for talking for too long idk😂) but then she asked me... What are you apologizing for? And I was like: I don't even know🥲

And then... I started bawling my eyes out. And that is when I noticed I have some childhood trauma ✨

Now that I am aware of it, I try to be more aware of what I say and when, be it apologizing, or talking around the bush. It could also be a being a woman issue. When I was a child / teenager in a Russian school, we were always told that "boys will protect us", we don't have to be strong. At gym class the teacher didnt expect good performance from the girl teams. Leave it to the guys. I think I subconsciously learned to take up as little space as I can this way. That's messed up and I'm so glad I've grown and let go of old patterns.

Now that I'm older and accept myself as I am, this has gotten so. much. better.
Practice makes perfect.
Friendly reminder that without being a little uncomfortable from time to time, we can't grow❤️ Learning is hard, but also oh so rewarding✨
