Sewing machine thread. I have a friend that collects tiny things, so i crocheted her a tiny cat. It was about 1" tall.

I make gloves with this Mohair thin yarn 😍😍 and it gives a great results. The brim in hdc in the backloops, then the glove body with Heringbone stitch 👍👍 i use 3.00 mm hook

I love chunky yarns n #4reg. N I bought #3 reg..n I had to put 2 strands together..so #2 or threads I could never do toooo thin for me.n that yarn ur using would kill me n to frog it n the cost of it n how many balls OMG ❤

I have crocheted with thicker sewing thread and it was tricky.

The very same yarn, just a different colour, I had a few balls so I put two balls together.
It was not so much the yarn thickness that I found hard, as I prefer thin yarn over thick yarn, it was the fluff in the Mohair yarn, even with glasses, I found it hard to see the stitches, let alone follow my pattern at the time.
I ended up with a Stunning drappy wrap in the end, so a win-win for me.

I normally hold yarn in left hand like your video... but I find I have to wrap thin yarn around my index finger... lessens the struggle.
