The most important thing about scuba diving is that you do it safely. And that is what Safe Diving is all about.
On this channel, I will discuss all aspects of going underwater from equipment advice and techniques to the little things like what to pack in your bags for a dive trip.
My entire professional career has been spent in and around the scuba diving industry and travelling to diving destinations both warm and cold.

19"45 the half round on the SI tech "pizza cutter" are or the inside of your dry suit to engage the round pucks of your drysuit inflator or exhaust valve. Its an essential tool for tightening and removing SitTech valves.

16:36 if you have an under garnet with a thumb loop elastic just pull that thought for gas equalization between the dry glove and drysuit.

Great videos and awesome channel! I’m hoping to buy my first drysuit this year so would love to know pretty much all there is about drysuit and drysuit maintenance. Everything from a novice point of view....what do you wear under your undersuit....difference between neoprene and silicone seals etc.

Hi Mark, just bought the Santi BZ400 how much extra lead in kg`s would you recommend. I usually use 13 kg with a Waterproof body 2X plus base layer. Love the channel and often return to your older videos as my kit changes for info. Hope this is not too late for an answer. Sea diving in Denmark.

12:30 if your shore diving on really cold says get your self a large IGLOO or GOTT blow molded water cooler with snap top lid. Before leaving for the day fill it with hot bathtub water. While on site before the dive you can soak your hood and any wet gloves in the hot water. Replace the lid to keep the water insulated and between dives warm up your gear and fingers. Works a charm! Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter

Those gloves aren't glorified marigolds, they are marigolds. The Kubi originals are in fact ''Marigold Industrial AlphaTec 87-118 Industrial Protective Gloves', as used for washing up. You can get them from supermarkets or online for about a quarter of the price compared to a scuba supplier. I'm with you on the front-entry suits too; especially useful now we are social distancing on dive sites!

I tend to take fresh water with me to rinse the zip and my head when salt water diving. Not every boat has a shower system. Maybe warm or tepid water would be good for sold water diving.

Great video, for the record, what water temperature would you call “cold”?

Any tips on picking an under suit beyond just trying them out? Such as do any of them have a general water temp rating - ranges? Been looking at Waterproof and everything is vague in that area beyond listed what its made of, lol

Hi Mark, Great video! Love the tip about 2 hoods. I couldn't agree more nothing worst about diving than putting on wet, cold equipment after having a break. Like the idea about the tube for the gloves as well. stay safe and hopefully, we will be all diving soon.

Thanks for this video. What do you wear under your Santi undergarment?

Beginners question - do you shave your moustache before your diving or just deal with water in the mask and clear it out repeatedly?

Great video, Mark! I'm looking to buy my first dry suit so this gives me some great input about what features to consider getting in a dry suit. Buy once, cry once, right? :)

Hi Mark, great to see your informative videos again. I dive in a trilaminate suit and two piece fourth element arctics which are warm in temps as low as 5 degrees but still find these buoyant as they trap air well, having to compensate with lead. Any recommendations on undersuits that keep the warmth but with reduced Weights?

Hi Mark, do you keep your gear stored in bags in between dives? Or do you store it all hung up etc and then pack it when you’re heading for a dive?
