Very nice fishroom! I used to have one too, with many similar solutions. Mine was perhaps a little more advanced (more expensive, UV-filtration, a big central filter, spare pumps etc). I remember when I had installed my semi-automatic water change system. I turned it on, sat down, had a beer - and just watched. :D

great video... maybe a tip for those who start building a fishroom ... If you space left and if you use a freezer for food : put it in the fishroom, ... it will help heating your room and lower the extra cost of heating your room.

you forgot to install either weather stripping or a door stop on the other side of that first door can see day lite . but room is awesome thanks for sharing

If you are mixing the hot and cold water, you should look into a Hass Intellifaucet. Ever notice the top nets can drip water down to the nets for the tanks on the lower racks? U spent all the time and effort insulating the room yet you use an interior hollow door. That door will warp, you are better off installing an exterior insulated door.

Dan, what is the specific heater you are using to heat the room. I’m adding a few more tanks and starting to consider heating my fish room. I’m looking at ventless natural gas heaters. Did you ever look at those? Thoughts?

Hey really like your fishroom! I'm looking for some more information about the system you've built to drain your tanks. I'm looking to do the same with out having to drill tanks. Is there a name for it or anywhere I can find a how to? Thanks!!

How are you draining the bottom tanks? Do you have to reach underneath, close to the ground, to turn the ball valve?

The Cichlid sand raises the pH maybe not a good idea for my Discus am planning to get a 125 gallon tank in 3 months is it ok for now to house 8 medium size discus in a 29 gallon temporarily
