The last point you made is the one I always laugh about. All these young influencers promoting ecdysterone on social media like it’s some new “breakthrough supplement”, when in reality it was being promoted as the next big thing when they were still in diapers. I remember all the hyped up ads for this stuff in the earlier 2000’s - if it really worked so well then it wouldn’t have vanished off the map like it did. I predict this is just another phase and in a few years it’ll fade back into obscurity.

Would like to see a three way conversation about Turkesterone between Derek, Greg, and you. Would be great.

If Lane Norton sees this I’m open to sending him a cycle of turkesterone he can take it for himself and document whether or not he thinks it works. Give us 100% honest opinion that way he can say he took it and he can explain did it work yes did it not work. And member Lane is not a young guy anymore and so if with all of his training any teeth Turkesterone and he can improve then that would be pretty good evidence that it might in fact work although that’s just from one person so even if he says it works after trying a cycle of it doesn’t mean it’s going to work in all people some people are better responders turkesterone then others. So if you want to be a guinea pig just send me a DM her right in the comment section right here. Or if you don’t wanna try it because you think that its not safe then just give is your opinion. If I was worried would I be offering free Turk to someone aith an unbiassed opinion.

Hey, Layne, love your videos. Technical audio tip: Some times when you speak loud, the audio gets cliped, and thus, distorted. This causes the audio levels (volume) to be very dynamic; soft at times, and very loud and distored at other times. I suggest you set the input gain on the mic so the signal peaks at -10 db (at most) when you speak at your loudest. Then, on post, add a compressor to even out the volume all throughout the video, and finally maximize it (normalize it) so it sounds big and full (without getting clipped and distorted). This way, you get an even volume, plus, the nice, warm, punchy voice effect you hear on the newscast, or on sports narrators, or on professionally-produced podcasts. Huge fan of your evidence-based content. Have a happy new year!

Glad you made this video, since Coach Greg heavily promotes his Turkesterone supplements like crazy and they aren't cheap by any means. Glad to see the legit science at play.

does anyone know what bugs and plants this comes from?

As others have said though, this is indeed 'Damage Control' from Greg Douchette. it's a part of his income stream and while this video hasn't been designed as a call out vid, it brings people back down to reality as to the lack of current evidence to support this supplement. We can see that he is scrambling in the comments trying to save face.
It won't matter if Layne or others take it, as it is thorough scientific studies that would be required to further validate this supplement, so any notable individuals (including Layne) taking a cycle will not validate the effectiveness of this product like Greg is hoping that it will.
The truth whether anyone likes it or not is that Greg and Derek have a vetted interest financially in this product, more so from how many people are buying it from them.
Re : all the people asking for a Derek, Greg, Layne collaboration. If your here for the science then while Derek & Greg may have self taught themselves a lot of knowledge of many a things, ultimately Layne position will always hold the most creditability from a scientific standpoint.

What if it works similarly to creatine and doesn't directly promote muscle protein synthesis but improves performance which in turn promotes muscle growth

Great video ! can you make a response to Greg’s response video?

Doesn't it selectively agonise estrogen receptor-beta and bring forth its mild yet still a performance enhancing effect? It has shit bioavaliability in its pure form but when complexed with Hydroxy-propyl beta cyclodextrin, doesnt that increase?
I have personally not used it nor recommended this to anyone but this is what ive seen online on MPMD vids, it would be a good insight if you reacted to his turkesterone breakdown video.

I’m so happy you made this video. I was curious how long it was going to take with the Turkesterone craze for you to make this. It’s on my radar but I’m definitely waiting until more data comes out before I drop my money on it.

Hope to see you at the gym again soon.

It immediately improved my mood and energy which was nice. My bench press on 315 went from 15 reps across 4 sets to 20 reps and I was stalled on 15 for months. I am looking noticeably more jacked, the pump is much better.

I own a bodybuilding gym. There are lads in my gym taking it and seeing strength and muscle gains. A small group of us have all felt stronger and put weight on while taking Turkesterone. The company I get it off is constantly selling out too

I wasn't aware this was available a long time ago as a supplement. I learn something most of the time when I watch Dr. Noton's videos.

Hard to find a review of turkesterone that isn't followed by the word "sponsorship" in one form or another.

I’ve been taking it. Anecdotally it feels like it’s doing something for me. However, my dose is also high and something this expensive probably isn’t worth the effort for most people.

I have an open mind towards the potential benefits from turkesterone usage, but its definitely overhyped
