It is finally time to head back to London to visit the wonderful team at Kent, Haste & Lachter to pick up my finished suits!

This has been such a fun journey going through this process with the legendary team of John Kent and Terry Haste, and trouser maker Suyamba Kumaresan. From fabric selection and styling choices, through the pattern drafting and fabric cutting, we have followed the creation of these two suits at every step. Now I am going to try them on for the last time before the tailors take them away to complete the final garments.

Being able to say 'that's what I cut for the Duke' and mean the late Duke of Edinburgh is truly a massive flex

I think the fact they govern their prices based on how much they themselves would pay for a suit speaks to their honesty. Rather than charging as much as they COULD receive, they charge as much as they WOULD pay themselves. Besides the absolutely beautiful product they deliver, on top of being absolutely hysterical and wonderful to watch, their honest and humility is astounding.

I feel like I'm going to miss these guys now. You really must go back to them in the future. Such a great series of videos.

Terry is so patient with John. It's almost Iike a father and son. John over talks everyone especially Terry. You can see Terry's gentle way of standing down . Love this group and have watched this series multiple times

IMHO, the suit that John made is the nicest one you’ve had made. Simply transformative. Others have been great from all the other makers but this one is special. I wish I had one and could get to London to have him do the same for me. Wow. Both pieces should be worn regularly. Those gentleman have talent. You were gracious with both. I don’t comment much, but well done Kirby.

Fantastic suits, but just some observations that I can see:
1. Kirby likes to show some cuff, but both suits still have rather long sleeves.
2. The first blue tweed suit has some shoulder divots on both arms.
3. The second grey suit has incorrect sleeve pitch on the right sleeve - it looks too far “forward”, so when his arm is resting, creases appear.
Not sure if Kirby or other viewers agree with me here?

John’s classic grey suit is perfect. Sorry to hear he retired. So much talent. Terry must miss him greatly.

The banter between John and Terry was brilliant. Suyamba was the calming influence. The tailoring is brilliant!

You have the final garments, but the process has been so educational and priceless; thank you so much for documenting it all!

Terry’s jacket has enormous creases/divots below each shoulder (where the sleeve meets the shoulder). Those should not be there. And, It does not look good to me. It looks bad, to me, actually. I was taught as a young man that a crease like that, Off the peg, is the mark of an poor-fitting jacket in the shoulder. The rest of the fit looks good however.

John’s jacket looks spot-on perfect to me. There seems to be more room in the shoulder and the crease/divot is not there.

The second suit jacket looks like it is pulling and twisting from the front of the shoulder down the arm?? It's a lovely suit but that bit anoys my OCD 😉😉😉

There's something not quite right with the right arm on the grey one. It's pulling from the front, the area they discuss. The left arm sits much better. It's so obvious, because everything else sits very nice.

it's still funny money they charge 4k a suit, they could charge 30k. like they say where is the limit when there's wealthy people to mug?

really if the people have the money they should pay proportionately. most the people buying bespoke in london can afford 10k
