Love is a decision. I like that, because I can make the decision. I can not love by myself, but God through me, I can.

The answer is typically of what it means to love God is either "you have some unexplainable feeling" that most Christians don't actually have in my experience.
Or it's just "obeying the rules we tell you to obey"

Neither of these are satisfactory answers

A catholic would quote the Trinity as examplification of it. Through the heart (Jesus) you reach the spirit (the perfect balance of feeling) that connnects you to the mind (god). So, the three - but the heart first.

Please pray for me as my relationship with God is very rocky right now. I'm struggling with a whole bunch of existential questions the Bible does not touch on and pastors cannot answer for me.

Just for an example of what I How is it possible that Adam and eve could send by eating the fruit from the tree of good and evil if that fruit gave them the knowledge to know about that sin in the first place. Like how would they consciously sin if they didn't have an college about San until they eat the fruit.

There are a whole bunch of other things I could say but it would be way too long for this but bottom line is I've been trying to ask God from clarification through prayer and haveppen met with dead silence for years.

While I am mad at God like I would be mad at a parent I still love them just like I would still love my parents as well even though we disagree on some things.

So I definitely still love God even though I think some of the stuff that he Says can be extremely questionable.

What can I do to reconcile my doubts about the perfections of God and will I go to hell if I think anything other than him being perfect.

I believe Love is an emotion,
Emotion is not bad in itself, it is only tainted by sin, that's why many emotions are bad and sinful.
But I believe there are emotions that are good and pleasing in the sight of God.
When many say, love isn't an emotion,
They say that because emotions they assume are swaying and changing.
But if you really love someone, you will always feel that you love them, even when they disappoint you, or you are grieved and offended by them,
You will still feel that emotion of love!
Love is an emotion that comes with decision, that's what I believe it is.
God gave us hearts to feel that love from Him, that emotion of unconditional love, that always loves us even when we always fail Him.
Because if you say you love someone and decided to say you love them, even when you don't really feel that way; (that you don't really feel you love them), and is against to every affection to them, I believe that would be pretending and not pure love, it could also be called dead or fake love.
Because love does always have emotion, it is a form of it, you can never separate love from feelings.
If you really love someone, and they hurt you or you're disappointed with them, you will still continue to love them, & understand them, because number one it is a decision out of love, number 2 you always feel that way. (If you really love someone, that feeling will not sway - that's what I believe, you will be grieved but you will still love them)
It is always like that.

I'm not really that totally against with this video teaching, but I know, Love is all the definitions they gave, it is a form of an emotion, feeling and at the same time a decision.
You can never separate love from feeling, because if you are successful separating them, what you achieved is a fake love.
Love is a decision to always feel that way, not a decision to always act that way without any feelings.
I hope to study the bible more on this topic, but even so, love the Lord Jesus with all your heart, mind and strength and soul, with a true affection not just acting.

I've been studying NDE's. I've always felt wrong to believe that our all loving God would send us to hell eternally. After much research I've come to the conclusion that religions can help bring us closer to God by promoting love and goodness. But when you die, your "judgement" is a life review, where you live and feel every moment from your perspective and from the perspective of those you affected. If you are in hell, it is because of your own thoughts and negativity, although if you cry out to God to save you, he will and you can also be in heaven. We choose this life on Earth to grow strength in our souls and learn the lessons we need to learn. For a place where time doesn't exist, only love, patience, etc, I don't find it hard to believe that God would understand our physical underperformance and give us all the chances we need to better our souls. He is here FOR you, not to hold your inevitable sins against you. The more good you can accomplish here though, will amplify in the afterlife. I just can't stand the fact that people are fearful of God sending them to hell forever and ever when in reality it is yourself that you need to fix, and God will be there to help if you need him. That's my rant.

The only practical way to love God is to love his children with all your heart. Try to nurture and support them as though they were your own children.
