I just picked up an '84 Donruss San Diego Chicken 651 AUTO for $7.26. We are not the same.

It's such a tension release when you get rid of the sunk cost cards for something you currently want. Great lesson that I'm glad I learned 'relatively' early

Went to a card show last weekend after being out of the hobby for about 20 years. It was overwhelming to say the least. I had no idea what I was looking at and when I was collecting it was way more about fun than money. Now it seems like the complete opposite. Now everything is graded and I even saw little kids everywhere carrying suitcases full of cards. The hobby has definitely changed.

That Kobe is absolutely gorgeous. What a grail pickup. I would take it all day long over the other cards + cash you threw in. So nice. 🔥 🏀

Pretty sure that Lebron UD All Time Greats isn’t a dual auto. There were a few guys and variations of those Personal Touch cards where guys on the checklist just wrote in their response to “favorite artist” or “favorite track” (for Richard Petty) or “favorite food” or “favorite car”, “favorite moment” so if you payed up thinking it also has a Jay-Z auto… Add it to the took a bath list

Geoff finally met his match in negotiating skill and you can tell at the end he was not happy and was about to give up on the deal. "Now I am getting kinda antsy on the Kobe comps." 🤣

Appreciate you calling out the sunk cost fallacy, a lot of people refuse to acknowledge that or be incredibly unreasonable about cards they have losses in. Love the owning up to MAMMOTH 7 figures in total losses, please keep that day job, so you can keep making videos!

The way he handed you the CP back just like “how bout no” had me dead asf
I understand it’s about the money and gotta get what you feel is right, but I really thought he would be lenient and help you out with that deal. Regardless good cop, Kobe’s my goat and that card is just beautiful.

Sometimes you gotta give a little more in a trade up but definetly worth it in the end on the right piece

Great video. Would love to see you guys at “Cards on the Table” discuss affordable cards that you each think are coolest cards of all time. Each guy do a Top 5 or 10. Also discuss some of the most iconic rookie cards of all time.

I'm pretty sure that isn't a Jay Z auto. It was a card where LeBron wrote the name of his favorite artist. (I was looking at this card locally and the seller told me that it wasn't a duo auto)
