Transform a Simple Box into a Cat House

With just one cardboard box and a few stationery materials, you can do a very simple house for your cats. They will love it. Take a look.

VERY IMPORTANT: Make it yourself, but take care of your pet. Use non-toxic materials and never add any pieces that can easily detach. If you see your cat chewing cardboard, immediately remove the item from your pet’s environment.

A lot of cat rescue groups and those feeding strays and feral cats use a sturofoam cooler with an entrance cut out, a plastic storage tub, also cut out as needed with straw in between for extra warmth. Perhaps if people are doing this on their own they can use the box and a sturdy covering like a plastic bin. It doesn’t have to be new, just sturdy enough to give them a warm dry place to sleep.

Pretty good idea I would suggest if you're doing it for outside Stray Cats make the windows a little smaller. Maybe a lot smaller if it's cold weather and instead of drawing pictures on it use some weatherproof water-resistant masking tape to cover the outside so it'll last longer and if you're putting it outside put it up above something like some bricks or something so it's not on the cold ground as it can be more likely to get wet or damaged on the ground and elevated box is less cold for the cats

Target made a similar cat house for Christmas, and theirs included a wall to wall scratch pad floor. My cat loves his house with the floor. Now I'll make another one to go in another part of my house with scratch pad floors. Thanks for sharing!
