Indirect objects - English grammar lesson

In this English grammar lesson you will learn all about INDIRECT OBJECTS.

You must understand direct objects before watching this video.

There are 3 types of sentence in English:
1) Sentences without a direct object
2) Sentences with a direct object
3) Sentences with a direct object and an indirect object

One fact I've learned by watching videos covering this grammar is that the indirect abject can come after a preposition, whereas the direct one can't, so if we have an object after a preposition in a sentence that's the indirect one. An additional thing to be said is that if we want to have an indirect object, we must have the direct one as well in order that they both make sense with each other.
