How to Brew Pu-erh Tea

This video shows how to brew Pu-erh tea (both Ripe and Raw / Sheng and Shu) and Hei Cha, GongFu style.

It is at this moment that I have come to realize that by following the package instructions, I have been brewing Pu-erh inefficiently this whole time! "Steep 3-5 minutes" was a very astringent one-cup deal; using this method, I have used the same leaves all day and have gotten 5 or 6 total steeps with great tasting results in each. Thanks for the great walkthrough! Also - I'ma need to get me one of those cool reservoir trays haha

Thanks for the simplicity. It echoes what I have experienced in China. Too many tea « instructors » on the web make things too complex and too solemn, whereas I’ve always felt that the art of gong fu cha is about the ability to make precise, correct gestures seem casual and effortless. An art based on artlessness.
