we may not have discovered america from europe in the late 1400s, because the reason was that columbus was searching for a route to india so that europeans didnt have to travel all the way around africa (this is before the suez canal) to get to asia, so eurasian trade routes wouldve been developed more over the years and america would've been found much later.
