''Isn't animation fascinating?''

Best animation artist ever, in my eyes he has surpassed even Walt Disney himself!
He deserves an Oscar for every animated movie he ever did!

I love how he draws with a cigarette dangling from his mouth

In my book, traditional animation like this beats CGI everyday.

He's still smoking and he's 80 with seemingly no problems. What a lucky man.

Imagine working in the place of genius artist like Miyazaki.

That little fist-pump at the end.
One of the most amazing creators/artists/storytellers of our time, and he punctuates it with that little fist-pump. Beautiful.

The Wind Rises was awesome. It should have won the Oscar. Frozen was just another one of Disney's bunch...

I do love what has been giving to us through technology but there is no way those 3d animations movie can compare to this hand drawing animation.
The same way a CG car flip can't replace the thrill of a real stunt man.

It's funny, Miyazaki looked pretty upset earlier in his career. Especially in the behind the scenes for Princess Mononoke. Recently, though, he actually looks happy.

I don't like when unhappy people make happy and healing things. I'd rather they themselves be happy.
