Try using this.

if you put the ps4 on it’s side, it reads discs better. I don’t know why that is, but this helped me.

I did it and it worked
But I only left it in the freezer for 5 minutes

I used this method back on ps2/3 except the freezing part. The toothpaste cleaning method works well. It helps clean the disc from smudges and kinda repairs scratches. My old hulk game on ps2 was immensely scratched up and it made it playable. Blue ray discs are very durable, water and toothpaste will not worsen it.

U don’t have to put it in the freezer after u put toothpaste on it leave it out for 5min then wash it out
