Big thumbs up to TheCiveDiv! Today got my 100% P&T rating. Retired 13 years ago with 70%. Got to 80% in 2016. Last June I filed to increase for everything plus 10 more secondary claims to include mental health. I filed so many claims they granted half the claims in 3 months pushing me to 90% and deferred the rest. Yesterday the granted all but the last two claims pushing me to 100 and the granted P&T. Still have GERD and IBS deferred.

Several claimed disabilities did not rate nearly as high as my evidence would have warranted. But 100 P&T is the mark I had in my sites 🎯.

The advice you posted helped immensely.

Sincerely, Thank You.

Tinnitus (SC), hearing loss (SC), PTSD MST (Pending). If I get SC for PTSD, then secondary migraines, sleep apnea, ibs, diabetes (connected via weight gain/PTSD), diabetic neuropathy, and hidradenitis suppurativa. I'm diagnosed and being treated for all the above, so I will file on all of them. My back and knees are fine, although my shoulders are trash. Hopefully I can to 100%.

Thanks! Was in less than 2 years as Aviation Ordnancman in Marines & got Medical Discharge for flat feet (complained about feet and lower back) with not even 0%. Doc stated preexisting and not caught by MEPs. What might be my chances for success?

I'm at 50% for PTSD from Vietnam. I've had depression and anxiety for decades. Exposed to Agent Orange for 14 months. Is my mental health connected to this exposure?

Finally got SC for multiple lower back at 60%. C&P exam next week for Peripheral Nerve Disorder. Should be able to get the magic 70/40/100 TDIU after!

finally filed for my knees. Been putting it off for years.. looking at my medical records.. noticed the diagnosis of the PFS.. bilateral... 1992.. today.. Its Motrin, Aleve, Voltaren ointment, tiger balm patches.. so so many other patches..hot and cold.. and the sound my knees make when I sit down or get up.. and the pain involved.. Ignoring the pain for so many years.. not any more..

Civ div is awesome! Question: should I try to group multiple conditions together or does VA do that? Thanks!

My bilateral plantar fasciitis that had to be treated with custom orthotics was denied due to flat feet.

I keep hearing about the benefit of bilateral, i have ratings on both feet, both ankles and both knees but the VA didn't do anything related bilateral in the math they did. It wouldn't change my overall rating but it's the difference between being in the high 80s and the low 90s for percentage. I am hoping to get this corrected when i submit new claims.

What about sleep apnea? I have severe sleep apnea. I'm already rated for PTSD and Tinnitus at 70%.

Did the VA officially come out and implement the new rating system for sleep apnea? I filed secondary sleep apnea to 70% PTSD in September and I'm still waiting, they gave me a CPAP
