Jesus the delivery of "but coraline doesn't wanna eat, no - coraline would rather disappear" and the "coraline wants the sea but is afraid of water" lines makes me shiver

Did not expect this one to hit so hard, their lyrics are unreal (also maybe unpopular opinion, but other than "I wanna be your slave" no other english songs of theirs bring up the same emotions as their Italian ones, and actually seeing the meaning now - they're all pure poetry, hope they keep writing in Italian as they gain more international fans!)

Anorexia induced by a father who abused of his daughter -- she can't eat, she can't get out, she likes the stormy sea but she keeps it inside, she wants to disappear, she finds peace in death -- powerful stuff! powerful text written by a 21 y/o boy -- truly amazing!

This song felt so powerful even before I discovered the English translation, but now that I know the lyrics, I am speechless. These people are true artists, Damiano is a poet.

There's so much depth and maturity in this song it's hard to believe someone so young wrote it. My favorite part is the one about people not understanding why she can't just pack her things and go. It's something victims of domestic abuse hear all the time. I guess you can't really get it if you're not one but this song explains it pretty well.

I find amazing how his voice can be so slick, yet rough at the same time. It pours like liquid metal.

There's not many American songs that can show this kind of beautiful emotion that this song gave me

As someone who doesn’t speak Italian. The fact they made it so powerful, emotional and inspiration in away without people even needing to understand the lyrics is amazing ( sorry if my English is not good)

Some parts of these lyrics make me feel like im reading a (translated) old greek text. The way they phrase things, the poetic-ness, the implicit meaning in every word... Could be a passage straight out the Illiad or something
And I think that's beautiful.

If you know that kinda stuff you'll understand what I mean.

I don't understand a word of Italian and yet felt like crying when I first heard this song. This is the power of music, it can transcendent language barrier.

i always cry when i hear these lyrics, i remember when i used to feel that way; wanting to disappear, being anxious and trapped, but i always repress those memories so when i listened to this song it's like a dam broke and my tears poured out, i dont want to trauma dump or ask for sympathy, i just want to share how much of an emotionally charged song this is, because it's absolutely amazing at how easily it can bring someones feelings out.

Such a powerful statement of love, 'I'll understand what's inside you'
The lines 'She wants the sea but she's afraid of water' also makes me think about how people who are abused may come to fear love/life itself, even though it's also at their core driving them towards it
