What honestly might make things creepier is if when something happened like a probe or an alien showed up, all the birds just... stopped. Like they do when there's a predator nearby. Just imagine you're in the woods and suddenly the birds go silent and then you see an alien out of the corner of your eye

I like how the crickets and wildlife are still making noises during an alien assault but when I take one step outside my backyard all crickets and birds stop.

The more NPCs on the map the better, imagine a online experience with other players and seeing them get eliminated by a tripod

A "look over your shoulder" button would be quality of life and feel immersive. Being able to run forwards and hold a button to see slighly behind you but able to run while you peek would be more fluid and natural.

It feels so satisfying to know that the player will be able to actually kill the Martians when they're outside of the Tripods, although you should probably make them a bit more reactive to being injured when attacked by the player and maybe other armed human NPCs such as the military and looters if they manage to encounter the alien pilots while hiding in nearby structures.

Like a flinching animation and maybe some blood decals with visible wound textures on the character models for the Martians shown in the video.

I know this has probably been said several times but I cant help but love how fluent the movements of the tripods are. Every update the game just gets better and better and I really cant wait to play it.

12:26 was a real "oh shit" moment when the uberpod turned off its spotlights and turned around quick to look right in your direction.
