In this video I will show you 5 tools that I regret buying and show why I regret buying them. I use these tools for woodworking so this is an opinion based on that of a woodworker. I guess this video is kind of a woodworkers tools review.

I have the 12 inch Bosch gliding miter saw and the only drawback is that it is a bit heavy. Other than saw accurate and powerful!

As a hobby woodworker I have used Ryobi tools for the last 7 years. No problem with the batteries. I even managed to get a non Ryobi battery from Amazon which works perfectly with my tools, and it was about a third of the cost of a real Ryobi battery. Its still working after 4 years. Also I keep the batteries at full charge for use, so maybe that helps the lifespan.

The "How To Home" channel has a video on reviving dead batteries that's worth a shot instead of just chucking the old ones when they won't charge.

First, today's green Ryobi, especially the One +HP series, are a far cry from the blue stuff. They're still hit and miss, a little, but the newest Airstrike nailers are very good, and preferred over Milwaukee for home users, since you can recharge the piston yourself with air. Milwaukee needs serviced and they refill, I think, with nitrogen. I buy mostly Milwaukee, both 18V and 12V Fuel, and Ryobi battery tools, and I'm very happy with them. As far as the Dewalt sliding miter, it's probably the best, most reliable, and rugged on the market. I'm in construction, and Dewalt is all I see carpenters use. I don't see Festool, other than track saws, nor Makita or Bosch out there. You need to make that mobile, where you can wheel it out and put it back. The Bosch is neat, but if that arm gets bumped out of alignment, it's going to be lots of fun realigning it.

Regarding the price of the batteries (and really anything), I'd check all the sources. I've found stuff on Amazon that is way more expensive than Home Depot and vice versa. Also, be discerning when it comes to batteries on Amazon. A lot of them are knock offs and that's why they are often cheaper. Normally I'm not that stingy when it comes to that stuff, but when it comes to batteries, I buy name brand. I just don't trust knock off batteries that they won't have a fault in them and catch on fire or something. They could be just fine, but I'm not willing to take that risk.

Regarding those cheaper Milwaukee batteries. Home depot will not only match the Amazon price, but they'll beat it by 10% Much easier warranty process if something goes sideways as well. That 10% goes for everything, as long as they carry that same item #

Ryobi table saws are the worst as the fence system is horrible. I would’t recommend any cheaper budget table saw, including the Harbor Freight unless you just want something for occasional use around the house. I don’t have a problem with most other Ryobi tools for a hobbyist or DIYer other than perhaps their miter saw. I’ve never used one, but I’d stay away from their saws. If buying a job-site table saw, like many of us do, buy a Dewalt that fits your budget. They have a great fence system. I would recommend the 7491RS as I think it’s their best and it will run an 8” dado stack, although I’d recommend a 6” stack as it’s easier on the motor and will cut 99.9% of any dado you’ll ever need. It also has a larger rip capacity than most others. The miter gauge sucks on all job-site table saws, but you can buy something like the Incra V27 which I believe is probably one of the best within a lower price range. Thanks for the video! I think all woodworkers have a list of at least 5 tools they regret buying. I probably have a list of 20+ tools.

My buddy has that same table saw and I built his whole shop with it. I would wrather slide down a razorblade banister into a pool of alcohol than use that saw again. No contest... Being cheap always costs you more money in the end. Example: You now own three of everything lol... Great vid though👍

Skil bandsaw is first on my list because # 1 - I hardly use it, # 2 - when I use it, the blade that came with the saw wanders and doesn't cut straight even when using a fence. Second on my list is the Dewalt cordless angle grinder because that thing eats up batteries like nothing else so i use my corded RYOBI, yes a Ryobi and it works perfectly with no problems whatsoever.

Wouldn't buy Ryobi if you paid me now, I bought the moto their system and had 3 tools stop workers ng, burn out within 1 to 3 months of guarantee running out . I'm not a heavy user either in fact the opposite

I know someone who would want to fight you for talking bad about ryobi. Lol. That said I had a ryobi drill and a dewalt, but I like the ryobi better. That said I loved the Milwaukee drill I used at work

That’s my biggest complaint on the dewalt sliding miter saw as well —

As a more so hobby wood worker my self but getting into bigger projects slowly I will never in my life support or by dewalt or Milwaukee products or any other over priced big brands.

Unless these tools cure cancer or give me lucky lotto numbers they can keep there asses on the shelf which every time I go to home depot I see then fully and overstocked collecting dust.

Oh look a drill for $150 awesome wait the battery is $200? I just spent $350 for a fucking drill? $200 for a orbital sander?? Fuck out of here I'll buy affordable tools and when they die 2-5 years I can replace then with ease not feeling like I just tried to put my dumb kid through college and wasted my money

Sir, you have accidentally bought yourself a toy table saw. If you go to Home Depot, you can find a selection of table saws for Adults. I recommend the Dewalt as a good starter table saw. Having said that — I love you and your videos. You make me laugh and I learn things. Thanks.

Your saw might treat you better if you pronounce his name correctly: Ree-o-bee.

I've had pretty good luck holding out for the Milwaukee "buy a battery get a tool free" deals at Home Depot or Northern Tool.
