Being a fan of the genre, I can say I've seen all these movies -- some many times! I do have to disagree with the "so bad it's good" description. Most of these are true classics, and all have something to make for an enjoyable viewing. Thanks for the list!

So bad they're good? The Incredible Shrinking Man is one of our best sci-fi movies. Saw it as a kid and also as an adult. It was still solid as hell.

The level of geek and art from the 50s-80s is simply great. A lot of amazing scenes and often no budget films. Ofc it’s also a personal thing. Stop motion special effects, allways catch me, as painted panorama does😍 awesome List

Being 88 years old, those 50's sci-fi movies were seen by me in my adolescence!
"Invaders from Mars" and "Rocketship X-M" were two Sci-Fi's that "blew me away."
Talk about nightmares!

There were also Destination Moon, The Day the Earth Stood Still, everything by Ray Harryhausen, and the original Godzilla. All classics.

Forbidden Planet and Invaders from Mars are my favorites of the bunch although the rest are pretty good, too. Invaders from Mars deeply affected me as a kid because the kid in the movie couldn't trust anybody. And I love the surrealistic sets and angles. I have a physical copy.

What a stupid title. Some of these movies are all-time classics!

#9 is in fact The Quatermass Xperiment, not Quartermass (just one 'r' in there).

It's crazy to me how many amazing old movies haven't been remade but then we get 700 remakes of King Kong lol. Don't get me wrong, I love what they did with the franchise and also some movies should stay originals but still... it's just wild to me how many amazing old movies get slept on and would make incredible modern cinema with current CGI

You missed one of the best SF movies of the 20th century, The Day The Earth Stood Still.

Most of these films are widely - and rightly - regarded as classics of the genre, and Forbidden Planet in particular is considered one of the best SF films of the 1950s. None of them are underrated, and "so bad they're good" definitely does not apply.
