I agree with the folks saying the 4’s are WAY more comfortable especially if you have small ear canals. I just wish the battery life was as long as the Pro’s.

Comfort. Taking conference calls all day, gym, regular activities, having the pros in your ear for over a couple hours really starts to hurt, for some reason the AirPod 4 style doesn’t hurt as bad

I got them april 2023 for my birthday and they are amazing still loud the noise a cancellation is amazing like u can sit around loud speakers and when u put the noise cancellation on u could never hear those speakers

I ended up with AirPods 4 ANC because of the open ear type. I don't like the sensation of that silicon tips, feels like my ear canals are being "vacuumed" iykwim.

I recently got my iPhone 16 and wanted some new AirPods with it. My ears HURT when using the AirPods Pro 2, . so I returned those to get the AirPods 4 ANC instead. Couldn't be happier.

I’m thinking of buying the new AirPods Pro, because of the better noise canceling. But I’ve been rocking the og AirPods since release and I absolutely love how they feel in the ear. I can go a whole day and forget they’re in my ear. At the same time I often work in industrial area which can have a lot of annoying sounds I would want to block out. I’ve been skiing sending jumps with the og AirPods and they never fall out, but I do want something with better noise canceling as long as they don’t fall out of my ear all the time. That’s why I can’t really decide between the pros and 4’s. If anyone could speak from experience on how well the pros with silicone tips sit in the ear.

I bought a pair of the 4, the fit made the inside of my ear swollen because of how horribly it fit, I then went in two days later and bought the pros. So comfortable and better in every way for me.

I bought the Airpods 4, I have very narrow ear canals, so I use the smallest size of kids’ earplugs at concerts for my left ear and a regular kids’ earplug for my right ear. So I would never have been able to get that rubber tip into my ears.
I haven’t felt the need for these before. I’ve preferred large headphones, but I wanted something lighter for commuting. Of course, I don’t get the same sound quality here, and I’ll use my headphones for flights.
But these are good enough for everyday use, and for that the sound is sufficient. I was even surprised at how good Dolby Atmos sounded.

Pro 2 is way better I had mine for over two years and they still work fantastic

The pro 2s are cheaper than AirPods 4 anc at the moment.

The difference for me was the Pro's had less bass/more treble. Quite similar, and if this is the call you received, it sounds the same. Why this is the beat sound available today is crazy to me. We should be sounding so much better don't you think?
