What happened? Why no mention of the two way gate open options, the in bed trunk/cooler, or the bed sound system (RTL E trim)?

Upon the dozens and dozens of Ridgeline videos I have seen on here yours was the only one that brought to my attention the trunk lock switch hidden to the left of the open glove box door. What a cool little surprise. Thanks!

If youre actually a driving enthusiast, the Ridgeline is the only truck to get. My uncle had a BMW X3 35i with the i6 twin turbo and replaced it with a Ridgeline — he doesn’t miss the bimmer one bit as his daily. The Santa cruz might come close, but all DCTs are kinda a pain in the ass to live with in the real world. Raptor, TRX, Rivian are obviously a totally different ballgame ($80k+). For $45k with every option, the RL is hard to beat for it’s combination of driving experience and practicality.

Great review except for 3 things. First you didn’t show the in bed trunk that’s also a cooler and second the duel opining tailgate. It also opens across and is easy to access the bed. And three the in bed speaks I mean how do you do a review and forget or just not know the three main and important features of the truck that make it different from everything else in it’s class? I’m totally dumbfounded lol.

“There’s no step so it’s hard to get in the bed” until you open the tail gait and use the step 😂

have had my 2022 ridgeline RTL-E for three months and love this vehicle...very roomy, very good fuel economy and the ride is better than my 2015 yukon Denali!

Note that the heater has supposedly 4 heat cycles. Note that there is NO difference between floor/defrost and floor. When you select FLOOR it continues to send heat to the defroster (and floor). Compound this with a very small floor outlet and it makes for cold feet in our -30F climate. Not an issue for most. However, my wife and I go up to the Canadian Border to our off-grid place once a month and now wear electrically heated socks to counteract this design flaw as we drive up there. The dealer says that is intentionally designed that way. Also note the very small floor heater outlet which compounds the issue. Also, note (not an issue for most folks) you may NOT put a winch on that frame. You may use a hitch mounted temporary winch in the rear as an alternative, but a disappointment for me, but not for most.
Also, the 18-inch tires are too small for a truck that tries to be a “big boy” truck. I like the truck as I do drive in the city mostly, but if you are looking for something more rugged, I would look elsewhere. Bear in mind that a hybrid version is probably “right around the corner” which will have better resale once the chip issue settles down. The navigation is not good. Just today, I had to use my Google app on the hone to counteract the incorrect directions on the RTL-E.

Overall, it has a wonderful ride and does haul loads as stated.

Great presentation! However you forgot to demonstrate how the lift gate drops down and swings out. The lift gate swinging out makes it easier for people like me, under 6’, to step into the bed. Thank you again for a thorough presentation.

That button that you weren’t quite sure about is the heated windshield.

For your money would you buy a Ridgeline or a Tacoma?

Hey Will! The whole time I was watching this I kept thinking Ford Maverick and was going to ask which one you liked better but I think you addressed that in your closing comments. If it were me, I'd go with the Maverick and I'm not even a Ford guy. Just something about it seems more appealing (although the RIdgeline is nice too).

it's not a drop in bedliner, thats the composite bed. i like how you jumped over the maroney sticker, when you said your not going to go over all of the safety features, 😅

wiper button is to heat the area where the wipers would sit so they don't freeze up. Trucks are just noit for "guys" I got my truck coming in 4 days. (not Grandma is hitting the road!
