To this point, I've heard exactly one song by TWICE, and the past year I've seen them a lot on social media/various media outlets in the USA. I knew it was time to dive deeper into their catalogue!

Recommend you listen to their last LP "Formula of Love" released this year . So many TWICE fans calling it their best album ever. They have so many wonderful B sides on this and other albums. TWICE has an arena tour in US starting in February

Their latest full album, 'Formula Of Love' is highly recommended. The B-sides are fantastic!!!
They try various genre of music, a song composed and written by a member, some songs written by some members, and also, there are their first ever sub-unit songs, which they separate 3 members on each unit.

These are few short points on TWICE

1) TWICE is a JYPE group formed in 2015 at the end of an survival show called SIXTEEN
SIXTEEN is often credited as the show which kick started several survival shows in KOREA
Including latest I - LAND in which ENHYPHEN was formed (BTS LABELMATES) by HYBE

2) JYPE is often regarded as one of the BIG 3 KPOP companies ( now BIG 4 including HYBE) which have had stalwarts groups before like 2PM, WONDERGIRLS, MISSA etc
Even though JYPE is considered BIG 3, during the debut of TWICE they were not doing as well as before
TWICE essentially saved JYPE from falling out alongside GOT7 - JYPE only group at that time

They have the most recorded pure sales for a KPOP GG in approx 10M PURE PHYSICAL SALES worldwide and also several more in DIGITALS

They pretty much dominate KOREA & JAPAN often referred to as the NATION'S GIRL GROUP which in past belonged to SNSD aka GIRL'S GENERATION

Recently as you have noticed they are making their way into WESTERN MARKET especially US

4) This year TWICE entered their 6th year and still made even more waves especially in the US

They became only the 3rd ever KPOP group to chart in BB HOT 100 & 200 charts
They also broke the record for record pure sales for a foreign Girlgroup surpassing LITTLE MIX in their first week
So 2021 is one of their biggest year ever you can say if we consider international achievements for TWICE

5) TWICE is often referred to as the QUEENS of VIRAL POP SONGS & CHOREO
They have some of the catchiest music aswell as have some outstanding and memorable choreo that makes them stand out from the rest

While they specialize in BUBBLE GUM POP but they are now branching out seamlessly to many other genres like LATIN POP, R&B, CITY POP, RETRO etc

If you check out their latest album you can clearly see their growth as artists

6) There is often more to TWICE than meets the eye

They often become several people's fav group even for those who seemed to hate them in the past or have been just a casual listener

You should really listen to their latest album Formula of Love. They stayed within pop but experimented in every possible way. They’ve been contributing more and more to their music (composing and songwriting) and it’s coming through in their latest discography. Highly highly recommend. Their evolution really started right after Fancy so if you start from Feel Special era you will see a beautiful evolution and maturation of their music.

If youre interested to get to know their music more then i suggest you listen to their B-side songs. The title tracks which you listened to are poppy and catchy and meant to get attention BUT it doesnt really represent the whole TWICE music. alot of their really good songs are Bsides. Plus they wrote alot of them.

They do all get solo parts in every song, but they do have a main/lead vocalists who tend to get the bigger part of the lines/high notes, depending on the song~

During quarantine last year after seeing all the hype and talk about BTS on Twitter I decided to check them out and fell into a kpop rabbit hole and did a deep dive on them and the very next group I decided to check out was TWICE and I fell so hard for them 😂 I'm going to see them in Dallas on their upcoming US tour. OMG TWICE!!! I think they're one of the few groups in KPop who owns cute concepts while also being versatile enough to pull-off different sounds and genre. Most groups in KPop right now are leaning towards "girl-crush" (kinda like a bad-ass concept) but Twice stays true to their color. Also, they are so hilarious and cute :))

It's very interesting about the "pop" thing you said about TWICE.

Since 2015 until the end of 2018, their trademark was bubblegum pop and their songs were (and still are) catchy AF. But, since 2019, even tho Fancy is still bbg pop, their sound matured. So, their newest releases sound like TWICE, but maturing. Like a woman maturing, so they began to experiment with other lyrics and genres, that's why the bsides are a lot more fun to listen to cuz you don't know what to expect. But, all are bops, catchy as hell and the title choreos? Impeccable and funny to vibe with, the choreos are a lil harder now, but still amazing. No skips. Also, you know a TWICE song when you hear it, you JUST KNOW it hahaha

Their albums ARE I love TWICE so they're my comfort group ❤️❤️❤️

I recommend you all discography actually. Theirs is such a masterpiece in music industry. For songs, "Hell in Heaven", "Cry For Me", "Shadow", "Cruel", "Get Loud", "SOS" and "Last Waltz", IMO, highlight amazing different styles for them!
