The fact that Dave Chappelle had a transgender opening for him speaks volume and the fact that this transgender received backlash from her own community that's something in itself in fact when I saw the show you would have thought that the show was based on that woman that was a transgender in memory of her. How dare the lgbtq community not recognize that Dave Chappelle just honored one of their own

Where's the backlash? 98% of people agree with Chappelle. Why don't you interview some of those? The joke is on you.

They are proving Dave Chappelle's point. You can say whatever you want to about black people but say something about the gay community they're coming for you.

The media is creating a false narrative about the amount of backlash Dave is receiving. The fact is Dave has a level of huge support thus far.

It’s funny Dave’s transgender friend Daphne was bullied to the point of suicide and it was the lgbtq community who murdered her I call it murder not suicide when it comes to people being severely bullied

By him making jokes about transgender thats his way of accepting them. He’s treating them the same as everyone else. They are fighting for equal rights and that exactly what he’s doing. He’s treating trans the same way he would any race or gender.

Keeping it real here.. Dave Chappelle has always been a controversial comedian. That's his 'schtick' and one doesn't go to a Dave Chappelle event or watch one of his specials and not know what tf they are getting themselves into.

"It's now very common to hear people say, "I'm offended by that" as if that gives them certain rights. It's no more than a whine. It has no meaning, it has no purpose, it has no reason to be respected as a phrase.
"I'm offended by that."

Well, so what?

This is BS, we've all laughed at jokes across the board. Some characterize people, some expound on certain attributes of different people, some go in on the government, how we're treated, what should or shouldn't be done, and we laugh at ourselves and others. It's freaking comedy!!!!

A bad joke is a bad joke, like Dave's friend Daphne. But to act like you've been disrespected over jokes about you at a comedy event is way over the line in my opinion. We all know that when you go to a comedy show, you might well become part of the show. A comedian may simply just point you out in the audience as a prop. Why would you take it personal?

The bottom line for me is "If you can't take a joke, why are you here?" this is about raising an agenda, not about foul-play or disrespect.

I've asked this across several channels and still can't get an answer. Can someone please tell me what exactly did he say that was offensive?

Everyone is missing the whole point of Dave Chapelle special. To me what I’m getting from these representatives from the LBGTQ community is that they don’t want to be exposed. Stop taking pieces of his special n turning it n just listen but y’all are to sensitive n want people to have Empathy for your LBGTQ community but you don’t want to empathize with black smh
