Nahko (Medicine for the People) Performs 'Risk It'

Nahko, the lead singer of Portland band Medicine for the People, stopped by the studio on September 27th, 2011 to perform a solo set for The Portland Sessions. Nahko performed two captivating songs; enjoy the first one and check back later for the second.

Not only is this song beautiful, the video really proves the point perfectly. In the beginning, as Nahko messes up the first verse, you can actually see his thought process happening on his face: "Oh shit-- well. Oh well! Doesn't matter! I'm gonna play this song better than I ever have!" And he does. And on the second time around, when he sings that same verse, his heart beams out of his eyes, like "Yeah, I risked it, and it turned out great."
