I lived and worked in Oman for 5.5 years. I loved my life style there. I did not travel around as I had to pay a debt off in SA but I did enjoy living in Muscat. Made some nice friends. I hope to go back.but proving challenging to get back.

Thanks for the information. Currently I'm teaching English in China and thinking of moving to Oman or Qatar ... I'm a bit worried about the transportation honestly! I can't drive and I also plan to save money. That makes me doubtful seriously. On the other hand teaching here in China is a bit too challenging regarding the students' behavior and the curriculum! Do you have any suggestions?
