I recently bought the Quanqin based on your review and I've happy with it. Yes it's a bit loud, and the rotor spins if you sneeze but it is a very attractive watch ha. I also like how you showed us how to say it the name Quanqin correctly!

Great selection Ivan & I couldn't agree more! You do amazing comparisons & these 5 offer quite a variety of solid, yet value priced automatics, for less than $100 bucks! I have all of these, except the Guanqin Nomos, which I have seen several reviews & will probably add soon. My favorite is the Vostok, as it's just so unique, with a quirky charm, plus it's so much fun to mod!

Great choices of watches I just picked up a pretty cool watch currently for 93 dollars new but sometimes a little just over 100 is a Tauchmeister T0264 dive watch just got it 2 days ago and seems to be very nice.

Great review of 5 very affordable and good quality watches!!! I actually have 5 of 5 out of your suggestions. A couple slight variations from 2 of the actual watches you displayed, but basically the same. I love all 5 of mine as well. I would recommend any one of them to my friends and family. guanqin Gj16034 has sapphire glass for under 60$. I've tested with water droplet and diamond tester. The dial doesn't say sapphire unless you get gj16013 with metal bracelet. Still pretty much the same watch I believe.

A watch that you may want to check out, is an Aesop brand. I was curious and got one from Amazon recently for $52. It is automatic with see through back, beautiful blue face which changes shades according to light. Unsure of the movement brand, however the rotor spins freely and does a great job winding the watch. It has the day/date complication. After a week of wearing, it seems to be accurate to the second. The model I chose came with a black leather band of decent quality. Upon arrival, it was inside of a nice leather bound watch box. Inside the watch was wrapped around a nice pillow. Also a warranty card and cleaning cloth were included. I had not heard of the Aesop brand, but took a gamble, and so far this appears to be a home run. For the price, it is for sure worth a look. PS, I agree with your top 5 list with exception of Seiko. I can not force myself to buy a mechanical that can not be wound by hand, hence the reason for no Seikos in my collection.

Great list there are def plenty of bang for buck automatic watches for under 100 bucks a lot of people think you have to spend a bunch of money to have a nice watch or that it has to have that "Swiss made" logo. Not true at all. I'm interested to try out a Cadison or one of the other new Chinese autos that are out now just to see quality on them .

I am going absolutely with you. There are a lot aof impressive chinese watches below 100 bucks. I own the cadisen lambda hommage in two versions with the blue and the white dial. Both are absolutely amazing and i love them. It is not the same as the 6000 to 20.000 € NOMOS Lambda, but the design and the quality is absolutely okayish for the money. I wolud spent more than 100$ for it, if they had more than 40 hours power reserve. One of the most beautifull watches from China is the Seagul 1963 Red Star Army-Watch and chronograph in many different versions (Panda Watch). The Seagull movement is one of the most beautifull a´ve ever seen. It is a must have in my opinion, but with something 180 to 220 bucks a bit more expensive than 100 $.

Very nice review as usual! I'm not sure if the "Nomos Cadisen" has a sapphire crystal...does anyone know something about it? Anyway, it is sold $48 at the moment!

Thanks Ivan, we could've mentioned other models from Guanqin and Cadisen, but i get the message!
I'am not a great Vostok fan. The setting of the completely outdated movement is not for me.
