I'm a Garmin user. Competition is always a good thing. Even if Garmin have more metrics and stuff I really like the Coros UI design of the app it's clean and easy to read all the data compared to the Garmin Connect app.
With Titanium bezel and Sapphire Glass it's much more cheaper alternative to the equivalent Garmin watch. This Apex 2 Pro seems to be solid watch with excepcional battery life.

I love that you said that it's only really worth it if you're training often/a lot and that you can just use your phone or get a cheaper option. I also think folks should look at refurbished models or even ask around a run club if someone has one they no longer use to buy off of them. That's how I got my Garmin VivoActive 4s for $50. It isn't the top of the line of watches, but does what I need without breaking the bank.

Nice review. I’ve had the Apex 2 Pro for a while now and really enjoy it - it’s something new, which is appealing. Nice to have something out there with all the features other than a Garmin or Apple Watch. For me - the price point is what took me in. There simply aren’t any other watches on the market for less than $500 that has both titanium and sapphire. I do a lot of home repair, have 5 kids and an active job. I need the durability and don’t want to worry about my watch getting messed up by playing with my kids. I had a much more expensive Garmin for years (nearly double the price). While the Coros doesn’t have all the bells and whistles- it is absolutely solid for the price.

Wow, this video came at the perfect time. Thinking of selling my Apple Watch Ultra for a Coros Apex 2 Pro. For the simplicity and I don’t want to be glued to technology/socials 247.

I loved my Coros Pace 2, but it has broken after just over 2 years. The bezel no longer catches, so the watch is unusable. Gutted as I was rooting for Coros and wanting more competition in the market, but I'm really dissappointed, they won't replace or repair as it is just outside of the 2 year warranty period.

I really like your content but I have noticed you like to compare almost all watches to the apple watch ultra even if it is not a comarison video and are not in the same price point and sometimes even noticed a bias towards the apple watch..please refrain from this

Solid review. I just got this and love the strap and battery life (never been recharged yet). I’ll disagree a bit about the value of the sleep tracker on this… great for thru hikers who go long periods of time hiking and want to see their sleep. But even in ordinary life, I can’t use my Apple Watch for more than 6-7 hours with gps and activities AND then sleep with it and use it the next day. I have to worry about charging it. So I just don’t wear the Apple Watch to sleep, since that’s when I recharge. Problem solved with Coros. Wear it for days.

I've had the Apex 2 Pro for about 2 months now, and I have found myself missing some of the health data I used to get from my Garmin, such as the reliable sleep tracking. My Coros seems to never get sleep tracking right. I also really miss having music control. However, the battery life is unreal and makes it entirely worth it. I recently tracked a climb of Mt. Rainier on a single charge on Dual Frequency GPS Mode (>28 hours of tracking over the course of 3 days) and was stoked that I didn't have to bring any charging accessories. I normally keep it in GPS Only mode, and can go for weeks of working out without having to think about charging it.

Does the heart rate monitor work over tattoos? I recently had to give up my Apple Watch Ultra as I have heavy tattooed arms/wrist so if anyone know which running watch works/read over tattoos let me know. Very good review btw! Thanks

I bought this one for the battery life. I had a basic Garmin watch when I did my first ultra and the battery died after 8 hours. Major bummer lol
