Absolutely love my COROS watch. It is three years old, not a single scratch on it even though I wear it 24/7 and it still gives me a month of battery life.

I have a Coros Vertix 2 and the physical build and material quality is a cut above the Fenix. From the way the buttons feel, to the grade 5 titanium bezel, haptic engine etc.

I have the Coros Pace 2. I loved it better than the Garmin Fenix 6. I gave away my Fenix 6. I bought a Coros Vertix 2. Liked it but didn’t love it. I sent it back because the gps wasn’t accurate even though it is supposed to have multi band gps. Wasn’t much difference between the Vertix 2 and Coros Pace 2 gps accuracy. Then I got the Garmin 955 and love it! GPS accuracy is amazing and connects in my home! I run in heavily wooded areas (The Woodlands, Texas). The Garmin 955 has blown Coros and my other Garmin watches out of the water when it comes to GPS accuracy. Love the metrics with the 955. I do like the Coros App better. However, GPS accuracy is the game-changer for me and my Garmin 955 is my preferred running watch. Loved your video!

I love my Coros Pace 2. Brilliant watch for running, cycling, swimming etc. It developed a default on its screen a couple of weeks ago, but the customer service was excellent and a new one was sent out to me. Keep your receipt!

I switched from a Garmin to COROS last year for similar reasons. I thought not only gps connect time was too long but accuracy was horrible as well. I have been very happy with COROS.

COROS is great, no question! But most of the reasons that you love Coros for, are now available on Garmin. I personally have the new Garmin 255 and the GPS connection is immediate. The GPS accuracy is superb even with the standard configuration, not to mention the multi-band setting with dual frequency! Hopefully Garmin will improve the app! 🙏

Actually love my first Garmin 955, buttons and touch. Garmin Pay, all GPS and dual frequency, its like 5-10 seconds GPS lock. But Coros has come out with newer models that will definitely rival Garmin.

I have a 955 Solar and what the watch offers for the price point is incredible

Haven’t decided yet but I’m leaning towards Coros. The fact that I constantly hear that they are responsive with customers and keep improving their product old and new through firmware updates is a big plus. I love companies with integrity. But yeah. I know that the newest Garmins have ironed also improved key issues. So lastly I want to see if it’s true that Coros is more focused on a runners perspective and simpler in that respect. They’ve overhauled the app and interface recently and people only say good things about it.

Not a Garmin fan here but: connecting to satellites... what does this even mean. You know that certain companies show you "GPS connected" status when the connection reaches a certain standard. Meaning Coros can show you GPS connection just after reaching 1 satellite, while Garmin can show only after you've reached minimum 5 satellites. In that case props to Garmin for making sure you have a solid connection. Another thing is that this can be caused by tons of different things. One of those can be app battery-saving mode. When your phones OS has battery saving mode on your app active, this may shut down the app in the background = app may not update the position of the satellite to your watch = when you go out, the watch is looking blindly for satellites instead of knowing when they are and looking only in a particular place.

Hi
1) GPS - if you sync Garmin watch with app before run, it should take few secs to lock GPS outside
2) Battery - COROS use HR measuring every 10 minutes at default setting, that' s why COROS has longer battery life. Garmin use 1s as default.
3) APP - app mix hike and run results together, not good for me, that was one of the reasons to switch back to Garmin from Apex pro
5) Improvements - I had the watch for a year and COROS never fixed this issue, even after my repeatedly support requests. No ability to tune backlit.

After the update took place and they added maps, I sold the watch because the maps are practically unusable.

Totally agree, went to the same experience after a few years of Garmin. I would add that you forgot one major thing, native integration of Stryd which is the reason I switched from Garmin to Coros.

I have a Fenix 7 and it takes 2 seconds to connect to the GPS.
My Fenix lasts 12days with 10hrs of GPS in the best accuracy. Otherwise more than 2 weeks when I track less. Can’t complain

thanks, been looking at both to move from apple watch (yeah, I know), the app was the big consideration for me, sorted and I agree with the notifications piece, not overly bothered

I have the COROS Pace 2 and it is fantastic. Very light, super powerful battery, and great for track work. Yes, it connects to GPS quickly. You don't need an iPhone at all, but I wear my Apple watch now just for music. PS- Great review.
