It does not matter what size of nuclear weapons that Putin may use, tactical or otherwise, any use of WMD would cross a most certain red line for the west and trigger a massive military response that would not only end Putin's reign of terror, but Russia as a nation.

One comment that keeps popping up is something along the lines of "Well, the Ukrainians are getting a lot of help" in one form or another and it's supposed to be some kind of excuse for how terribly the Russians are doing in this war. Instead, it just points out that Russia launched a war with ZERO allies at a country that has many very powerful allies. What a catestrophically stupid move.

Russian law requires an existential threat to use nukes. Losing their offensive war in Ukraine and getting kicked out of their sovereign territory is not an existential threat to Russia. This needs to be said often whenever this is brought up by Putin. Publically and loudly enough even Russians can't escape the logic.

Someone should tell the Russians that Western media reports of mass graves are something that keeps us interested in supporting Ukraine. Western media, and therefore Western governments, would lose interest quicker if the Russians weren't committing atrocities. Everything about the Russian war on Ukraine has been one unforced error after another, including this.
