Also the Mujahideen recieved weapons and money from neighboring Pakistan as well. With the added bonus of being provided safe havens on Pakistan's side of the border to regroup, resupply, rest, etc.

You forgot the most crucial fact..The Terrain. Afghanistan is a Natural Fortress covered by towering mountains. You cannot effectively move your troops or Heavy equipment through them.

It wasn't a Soviet Afghan War. It was a US Back Extremist War against the Soviet Union.

Consider this: the casualties of the entire Soviet Union over 10 years in Afghanistan was around 15-20k. In two years, russia by itself has 300k casualties, meaning their war in Ukraine is 75 times worse as Afghanistan. This makes the Soviet war in Afghanistan look like a resounding success.
