Ray Manzarek once said "Miami killed Jim." In the fall of 1970, Jim Morrison was convicted of two misdemeanor counts of open profanity and indecent exposure & sentenced to six months in prison, hard labor. "The Changeling" is a goodbye song to the United States. Morrison was leaving town for good. He was hoping to reinvent himself in Paris. It never happened.

I was 14 when the Doors started. I always liked their music. Jim had a great voice. I saw a documentary about Jim last night, soooo sad. They are a group that definitely had their own style. Love Street, he sounds like he is talking & it is beautiful. Rest In peace Jim.
