Do English people say "it's raining cats and dogs"?

Today Suhki and I are walking around the streets of Manchester in England to ask native English speakers if they say...

"it's raining cats and dogs"
"How do you do?"
"I'm fine thanks, and you?"
"I'm on cloud 9"

As well as finding out if there are any other British English expressions that you should know when you travel, study or live in the UK.

I did learnt those phrases on textbooks, but I am shocked that they have been outdated so soon before I got chance to use them properly 😂

I love this kind of video. Updating expressions. There are still teachers teaching "cats and dogs, " and this is old-fashioned now. I like to learn the real slang.

Cats and dogs are being caught by city corporation . These are found few and far between .😢😢

Since I'm living in UK I realised some phrases I learned were a bit outdated, "it's raining cats and dogs" I think is more for older people, I heard more often "It's pissing down"

Make a video again please, more useful than any lesson. We're living in the real life not only about text books. So, we're starving about pharses to people use everytime. I was learning old idioms. We want more !!!

Instead of say " (I'm on cloud 9, I'm fine thanks and you and It is raining cats and dogs)" I say " (I'm over the moon, so far so good and It's pouring )" what about you guys?

I can't believe yesterday I was thinking about what native speakers say to talk about rainy weather as a non native person who leaves in UK for one year..Thank you so much ..

Many native English speakers think that * How do you do * is a question. No not at all, it's just another formal old fashioned way to say *pleased to meet you* I use it when i meet someone for the first time and response to that is *How do you do* with a great hand shake and contact eye, also remember it does not require a question mark at the end. Greetings from Casablanca Morocco to my beloved nation, the Brits .

All right mate. How's it going?
Keep teaching daily life English which are used outside on the streets. Thumbs up! I appreciate that. Happy Fabulous New Year!
Happy Holidays!

I’d probably use it, too! It’s been in use for many centuries.

I was taught that How do you do? Is not a subsitute for how are you? But a formal way to introduce yourself and the answer is: how do you do?

"what would you say when you're happy or yk ... excited?"
"just i'm happy or i'm excited"
"Understood, have a nice day 😐"
