Writing an Action Scene

Hello again.
One of the fun aspects of making these videos is the interaction with other writers and aspiring authors. Last week a friend on Twitter asked me how I work on battle scenes. Now, I’m not going to say that I am the best writer of fights, but I’ve had some experience, so here is my own summary of the main things to bear in mind. Hope you enjoy it!

Don't forget to like and subscribe, and I'll see you in my next video.
Cheers for now!

Camera worked well but the audio was too quiet and hissy! Great writing tips as ever. I do enjoy hearing writers talk about their craft.

Thanks for some good advice. I haven't written any big battle scenes, more one-on-one and a couple of smaller conflicts. I find it a struggle to coordinate fight scenes to keep track of all the action, whilst keeping the pace and sense of excitement. Would you say the same advice applies to all genres regarding taking out anything too Gothic, as I mostly write in horror/ fantasy genres? (My stories have bones sticking out, gushing blood and flaps of skin all over the shop)
