That's called a Ladder Stitch in the seamstress world. Like finishing up a pillow after stuffing.

I dont understand why this is considered aesthetic surgery. It should become a classic suture and done by any random surgeon.

I had these sutures for each of 3 caesarians: fantastic very fine white flat scar! Can hardly see it.

Dissolvable stitches are great for some people, but for people like me, we don’t dissolve them they fester up

Can you show the way it's supposed to be done? How to keep it tight the whole way down but still be able to fit the needle inside of it?

Sutures are not absorbed but broken down, sometimes causing more inflammation and scarring than removeables.

You forgot to mention this was done on a silicone suturing practice pad and was not a real wound. The material is a "self healing" synthetic silicone like substance that simulates full thickness skin. Self- healing means the holes you poke in it with the various types of needles close back up after you pull the suture material out so you can practice over and over your different types of wound and incision closures. The pads have molded into them different simulated types of incisions or in the case of traumatic injuries, different ragged cuts that a doctor may find themselves learning how to close up with the best results. Medical teaching clinics use them to teach doctors, PAs, nurse practioners how to suture a wound. Surgeons practice on them to practice suture tying around different anatomical features and different suturing technique.

My c-section suture was like a wire that came out in one piece, it didn't hurt, it tickled but because it was still day's old it was a bit painful being touched anywhere near my scar.

We use them on regular basis in veterinary medicine during dog castration as it makes them unable to meddle with the suture, but you shouldnt contract it in the end as it puts to much pressure on the tissue, do it step by step

Being someone who has EDS, this is how they have to close incisions on me, they then glue over the top or use steri strips so i don't tear the stitches out by just existing
