Great piece! Cool idea to use AirTags to see where the stuff goes :) Unfortunately “waste-to-energy facility” is just a fancy name for incinerator - they only produce a tiny amount of electricity. The one in Chester, PA is the largest in the US and an egregious air polluter :(

To be honest, if we want to make recycling a thing, all these companies selling the products should start caring, stop mixing of plastics, sticky paper and food waste, . Its difficult to recycle when there are a lot of restriction on what and where should go, but then we have all these products mixed and mashed and unrecyclable.
