Can say I have the 45L and was able to put it under the seat infront of me (middle seat economy/3rd class American Airlines). It was full but not stuffed to it's limit. YMMV

That being said, watched this review before purchasing the bag and was one of the most informative ones. Came back to see if the PD tech pouch can easily clip on to the pack via the loops and some locking S carabiners

Bookmarked so I can check this before my next long airline trip… bought this as my 3rd gig bag so I can take my three cameras for video shoots with me at EOD but bigger than Bevisgear (which is better as my daily sling bag for single camera, two lenses and flash units)

You forgot the place where you store the outside packing straps!
Have you missed that!
You have it in the front and in the lower part, magnitized as well...
Too many things with this backpack! 😉
Anyway it is brilliant!

I have this bag too & (like you) decided to buy a small rolling bag to haul it on longer “hikes” thru airports).

Thank you for this great review ! I am in the same situation as you were a few months before: I am hesitating between this one and the AER Travel pack 3... After a lot of researches I still can't decide 😅
My need is a 3 to 5 days travel backpack, with laptop. But I’m not a photographer and I have the impression the Peak Design is optimized for photographers. Also not sure 45L is what I need for 5 days max, but the 30L version would be too small. So I guess I will go for the AER (35L). What do you think ? ;)

This bag weighs over 2Kg’s - can you comment on whether the heaviness of the bag impacted on the amount of stuff that you were able to pack into it and still remain under the carry-on limit of most airlines.

You missed the bottom front magnetic pouch and the rain cover you can put in there. Great review of a great backpack!

Looking at backpacking south east Asia and I wanted your opinions if you thought this bag would suit. I’ll be partly working and partly adventuring, so need something that can handle computers and small tech equipment, whilst also being dynamic enough to jump on a scooter in Ho Chi Minh or walking across cities with a full load. Would you rate this bag for that? I’m concerned it might not be comfortable enough and that I’ll feel like I’m carrying 65L around (my nightmare). Thanks so much

Nice review. Did you ever put the tortuga V4 on your options? I really like the peak design but the tortuga's confort seems better.

I bought it - I love your reviews of everything. On this bag, have you tried making the bag 30 L and after that opening the expansion so now you have 40 L? Thanks

You should look for another travel bag that is Civic Travel Bag or CTF35l . A great one .

Will this bag fit under an airplane seat in 30 or 35L?

I don’t mean to be mean or a troll but you should look up all the things in this world that are made from animal products other than food or leather. Like many medicines, asphalt, beer, soap, mouthwash, shaving creams, paper products, just to name a few. The other thing that concerns me is how much energy is used to make a bag from plastic bottles. We shouldn’t be drinking all that water (and other beverages) from plastic bottles in the first place. What’s wrong with water from the faucet using the same glass. Also, what about clothes made from polyester - it probably takes just as long to degrade as those plastic bottles. We should be wearing cotton and natural fibers. Just some food for thought. It would be good if you would include this information on your videos as I do like them and your content.
