Could the media please stop the desperate gaslighting? we saw what we saw and it was pathetic. no she didn't "shine". she wasn't "courageous". she wasn't "creative". she embarrassed herself and her country but worst of all she took the place of some other much more talented, determined, serious athlete.

She didn't just lose, she got 0. 0. 0.
She didn't shine.

Any athlete gets criticized when they perform badly. Badly is an understatement. Cant handle criticism don't go on TV.

There are no young people watching her & saying, “Wow-that could be me someday!” BUT I GUARANTEE there are some OLD PEOPLE WATCHING & SAYING, “That could be me someday-DOING MY ELAINE DANCE FROM SEINFELD!”

Olympics is where the world's best go to compete for gold, not to show creativity. Thats for a talent show.

This is not ‘break dance’

No more trophies for showing up, people need to stop praising her for trying.

She clearly got what she was going for—notoriety. Everyone is talking about her. Attention is marketable.

She holds a PhD is breaking dancing 😳 wow this is embarrassing and an insult to HipHop. I don’t care what she holds and say she can’t break dance. Break dancing tells a story just like any other form of dancing, it’s known for representing your crew, your block and it was used in place of fighting to diss the competitor and gain street credibility. She was making excuses as to why she was soooo bad. She ruined a spot for someone who would’ve taken it seriously and respect to represent their country just like back in the 1980’s when they break danced to represent their neighborhood.

“i do my thing and that represents art” … point taken! It is not a sport, it is art … go to a museum, not olympics …

It wasn’t breakdancing that she did it was nonsense and the real breakdancers truly worked hard for the spot. It was like a slap in the face to breakdancers

Please stop saying it's a sport. It is NOT a sport.

It seems like a mockery to me. If someone was trying to sabotage the entry of a new sport or dance

Stop giving participation trophies. There was a time when we praised real talent and excellency. Now is more important people's feelings and call brave and inspiring mediocrity.
